the doctors are saying i should ice more, excersise more and spend less time standing. I'm doing the best I can with my work shedule, and now that the pool is open again i'm going to try to do that more often. My xc skills are really basic... i hate going uphill! ha I'm pretty stoked for winter... where do you usually board at??

I kicks samurai's ass!! :) I was stoked! for sure talk to your doc about the brace.. it's amazing the change! Knees are just not up to par.. you,d think with evolution and all we would have developed better ones. damn them! ;)

Well there's a reason the bike park is going to close, WINTER!!! winter means snow, snow means sowboarding ;-)

Glad you had a good season. Sorry to hear that your knee is still bothering you. What are the doctors saying? It's cool that you ride both xc and DH! Sometimes I miss xc. Secretly I've been thinking about getting back in to it.

My season was good. I didn't accomplish all the things I would have liked...but that's ok. The weather is changing pretty quick out here. We've even had some snow already! It melted (thankfully). I'm not a year-round cyclist...like you, I will be waxing my board and getting ready for the snow Smile

I knew it! Give that Mura Inaba Ujichika (that's Samurai Pizza Cat) the ass-whuppin'...sweet. That gets the coffee nod!
Next year...I'll be tackling Ho Chi Min. Gotta do it. Just gotta. Even if I stink the place up, it's gotta be done.

Agreed on the knees. The hardest used joint, the worst to fail, and the longest to heal. Guess it could've been worse for us - can't imagine a hip replacement, even at my age!! Wink

Hey, forgot to ask, did you get retribution on Samurai Pizza Cat? Go girl!

Hey, thanks for the info on your brace, I think I'll talk with my doctor and see what might be recommended for me. I can't snowboard anymore, my knee can't take it, so I stick with biking and snowshoe to get out in the snow.

Just saw your photo on Ho Chi Min...I wanna be there - waaaaahhhhhhhh! Smile

He'll be alright, he's healing very well. We rode flatland yesterday for the first time since his injury, just for exercise and to get him rolling again. He took it very easy, and enjoyed just being on the bike. We'll do local trails throughout the rest of the year, there's no way we can't be on our bikes the whole winter, that's agony!

What kind of knee brace do you use? I was thinking of getting one, does yours fit well under armour?

Sadly, I think our season has ended earlier than planned - my guy rode last week and went down hard on A Line. Overshot the triple tabletop and crashed on his bad knee. No hard riding for another two weeks.

Argggh - so jealous of you, lucky woman! What runs did you nail this time? Did you rule the world on Duffman again?
